Bob's dumb site.

Small reviews

I Wanted to do actual reviews of all this games but then I remembered that writing a lot is really hard.

So instead here is a bunch of short reviews of a bunch of different games I been playing lately.

Antonblast

a poor mans pizza tower (that's kinda of mean actually), but never the less, still pretty good.

antonblast

Arctic Eggs

Nice aesthetic

I don't really like games where the main mechanic is getting used to the controls, but the game is so short that it's almost a non issue (it's way easier with a controller that a mouse imho) I like that the lore is mostly up to interpretation, and how the characters just give about enough to make the world interesting but not to much to just explain everything.

chicken in frying pan

Castle Crashers

Finally managed to finish this after years of just starting and dropping after the second or first boss, gotta say, we spent a lot of time with my friends just downloading modded characters and seeing how they look like and just that made it worth it.

CloverPit

Isaac without the gameplay you either get the item combo you want or you reset

Once you unlock a specific set of items you can play for one of the endings, after that I think the look starts to skew in your favor at least while you are on the path for one of the endings.

Dave The Diver

Had a completely different idea of what the game was to what it ended up being, I was not expecting to had to harpoon fish in the face in this game. loved how it kept introducing new and new mechanics and different types of game play as the game continued to advance.

Why does it have Balatro? (apparently there's a lot of Balatro bundles)

My only critique is that having so many gameplay systems there are some that get left behind, specially the consumables that just upgrade your stats temporary. I don't think I ever interacted with the underwater farm as well.

Dragon Quest 3 2D HD remake

started playing in japanese, my japanese is so bad that when doing the quiz at the start of the game I got thug because I got confused and answer wrong some questions.

I liked how they added the whole map for the first game on the last act, it's always cool when something like that happens.

Elephant collection

Blast from the past, finally got to finish some of this games, the 2010s memes hit hard.

The ending made me cry.

Mullet Mad Jack

Pure fast paced anti robo-billionaire action

Tried playing this on the steam deck but I found it to difficult, had a much more fun time playing on pc with keyboard and mouse.

I really enjoyed the cinematics and the anti corpo sentiment.

Ori and the blind forest definitive edition

This gain main goal is to be pretty and it achieves it, definitely a great game considering it came from an indie studio in 2016, I think it has some issues for example after you get all the movement upgrades, there's only very little of the game left

tales of arise

Very annoyed that they did not add multiplayer out of the box, but at least there is a mod for it.

It definitely feels a step down from Berseria from my perspective gameplay wise, story wise its just another tales games but without the multiplayer.

Ufo 50

Loved this one, my favorites games were the ones on the epic play line.

I did not get to find any of the the secrets tho.
